Good news! The Weimar Academy Choir has just finished recording all the parts to our upcoming 2012 Choir CD entitled “Reveal.” It was a pretty long process, but it was definitely worth it. Hopefully, in a matter of a couple weeks, it will be out and ready for you all to hear! May this new CD be an amazing tool in winning souls for Christ.

Yesterday evening the Academy took a trip to the Christian camp & retreat center called Leoni Meadows. There at the campground, our choir had the privilege to perform a full concert for the people of all the community service centers in the Northern California Conference. Though the journey there and back was a long one, we had a lot of fun. But more importantly, the people at the retreat were greatly appreciative and blessed by the music and message that was presented.
5…4…3…2 We have 2 days left until Weimar Academy’s 2012 mission trips! Whether it’s packing clothes, preparing workshops and seminars, or pulling together last-minute details, we all are excited as we prepare to go and do God’s work. He has continued to bless and provide the funds and different needs for each of these trips. We can’t wait to see Him work in and through us, as we share Him with others. We pray that as we go on these mission trips, God will change our hearts and change the hearts of those who we are ministering to as we follow Christ’s example.

God is blessing as we continue in our second semester. We leave this afternoon for our last home leave before our mission trips. Three groups going to South Korea, England, and Arizona will be leaving in two weeks to share the gospel with those in need. God has blessed our fundraising efforts so far, and has been providing the other necessities needed to go on these trips. It’s the beginning of a new semester here at Weimar! Christmas break was much needed and now we’re starting a new part of this school year. Though only a week and a half into the semester God called us to minister through music in the western part of the state of Oregon. Our choir and orchestra toured around the Eugene area the weekend of January 12 – 15. It is our prayer that the Lord used us in a mighty way to impact and bless the people that we met on the tour as it did for us. Likewise, we’re looking forward to seeing Him continue to work in mighty ways through our school during this new semester.
Finals are over, and now there’s just a couple more days until Weimar Academy’s annual choir trip! This year we will be traveling to the Bay Area where we will be performing at San Francisco Central SDA, San Jose Central SDA, and Novato SDA. We ask that you keep us in your prayers, and may the Lord bless on this trip.

Weimar Academy has had an amazing past few weeks as we wind down in preparation for the new year. Recently we have been participating in activities such as caroling and helping out in the community. Currently we are going through our Semester Finals and are preparing for the annual Choir Tour. Thank you all for your support, and please pray that we will finish this semester strong.
Service. That is why we are still here on this Earth and that is our focus at Weimar Academy. This year, our students had two excellent opportunities in which to serve their fellow man by meeting their physical needs and by proclaiming the 3 angels’ messages in both Bolivia and the great state of Utah. On March 15, 2011, students from Weimar Academy will be embarking on a journey together that could change many lives, including ours. Using Christ’s methods of teaching, preaching, and healing, students will be sharing their faith and love for Christ with the people of Yata and surrounding region in Northern Bolivia.

The students & staff of Weimar Academy had an amazing time at ARME Camp last week. The camp was held at Leoni Meadows this year, just a few hours southeast of Weimar. Speakers like Peter Gregory, Ivor Meyers, Martin Kim, and others spoke to us about the importance of daily Bible Study. They gave practical tips on how to study the Bible, how to witness to others, and how to pray collectively as a group. The camp started on August 25th, but the academy arrived on the 24th to help set up the different areas that were needed in order for the camp to be successful. The students worked on organizing registration packets, video & sound editing, as well as greeting the guests when they arrived and making sure that they got to their housing assignments on time. It was a perfect combination of serving and feasting on the Word of God. We left on Sunday the 29th, praising God for a blessed time and armed with new tools to go deeper into the Bible. Our desire is to take those tools and witness more than ever in our community, taking back the ground gained by the evil one, and winning it for our Commander, Jesus Christ.

Chad Bernard has accepted the call to be principal at Weimar Academy. He and his wife, Melinda, are very excited about moving to Weimar because they believe that the Lord has lead them here. Mr. Bernard loves young people and is very excited about the upcoming school year.
