Hearts are racing a mile a minute. My whole world right now feels like it’s playing in fast motion. After months of planing and anticipation, we are finally on our way to San Antonio. Sure, it has been a very long day, and of course, we are all exhausted, but I know with all my heart that God is going to use us in mighty ways. We have a long road ahead of us, but I couldn’t be more excited. What better way to start off a new month than with our entire school (well, almost) on a mission to serve the Lord.
The road ahead of us is long. Like, seriously it is going to be a crazy ride. Today, I awoke at the ridiculous hour of 3:30 am. What followed next was about ten hours of crazy fun on the busses. Everything worked out perfectly, like all mission trips do. There were absolutely no pit falls, and honestly, I was surprised everything worked out so smoothly . . . APRIL FOOLS!!!!! We had major issues today, but praise the Lord everything worked out.
Approximately four hours from our destination in Las Vegas our shuttle broke down. Yup, that’s right, we were totally stranded. Thankfully, God provided a way for us to get replacement parts, and we were back on track about three hours later. Some time was lost, but friendships grew, and our faith was definitely tested. I am just so happy that we are now all together, safe and ready for a good night’s sleep.
Right now, as I type, were are all gathered together in a school gym. Old friends are here, and we are having a blast catching up and playing all kinds of games. So, as we continue on this wild journey, it is my prayer that we all come closer together as a school, and reach many souls for Christ. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
