Simple Blessings

After a glorious Sabbath day, filled with enough blessings and miracles to last the entire trip, we all were a bit hesitant to exchange our newfound friends in Albuquerque for the confines of the Coach. But at five in the morning, we were up and packing. Complications with the shuttle compelled a few of our staff parents to remain behind, but, by God’s grace, we will reunite in San Antonio tomorrow evening.

The hours passed by and lunchtime arrived, bringing with it a special blessing. A throng of singing girls in line for the restroom met up with an employee named Christina. She happened to share their passion for singing, so the girls led her outside to where the rest of the group was finishing lunch. An impromptu performance of the moving benediction, “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” followed. At the end, Christina, who was in tears, exclaimed, “You guys made my Easter!”

Though we haven’t arrived at our Pathways to Health mission site yet, God is already teaching us invaluable lessons. Today’s lesson? Being a missionary for Him doesn’t always require a huge act of service or some great sacrifice, but it’s often the simple deeds that bring the greatest blessings.

Thank you for your prayers! God has been blessing tremendously, and we can’t wait to see what else He has in store.
